When Life Throws You Challenges
10am - 1pm
Venue: Waitrose Café
223 London Road, Worcester, WR5 2JG (map)
Sometimes it feels like you’re dodging flying lemons in a citrus storm and if you used them all to make lemonade, you’d be swimming in it!
But often those challenges—big or small—are also where grit is born, where new stories start, and where we find out we’re stronger than we thought. Sometimes all it takes is one small step, one tiny decision, to shift the whole flight path of those challenges.
This 3-hour relaxed, and friendly session is designed to help shift your thinking, change some old habits and move forward in life with a more positive outlook and some practical tools.
It will cover:
-
Dealing with life’s challenges – how we can start to take back control.
-
Ditching the extremes – how to recognise and overcome unhelpful thinking patterns.
-
The value of different types of rest and tools to help you sleep better.
-
A different approach to solving problems.
-
A key question to ask yourself when you feel upset or worried or stuck.
-
Walking the talk - moving ahead with a more positive mindset.
During the session we will share activities, tips and skills to help you to deal with life’s challenges with more confidence. We will work through each of the topics listed above and help you to plan to use the tools that work best for you following the session.
Everyone attending will receive a set of practical additional resources.
If you have any queries, please call us on 0300 302 0458
To book email: amandaw@comfirst.org.uk or call the number above
This is a new course, and we would like to ask for your feedback to help us to make any changes needed.
This session is for people over the age of 18 living or working in Herefordshire or Worcestershire.
Please note that is not suitable for anyone currently receiving treatment from one of the Neighbourhood Mental Health Teams.
